T-Bird Motor Inn— 4405 Shelburne Road, Shelburne; 802-985-3663. For a discount, ask for Ron or Lisa with reference to the Race Walking Clinic. The discount is for Friday ($149, rather than $169) and Saturday ($199, rather than $229). The rooms have two double beds, a refrigerator, microwave, coffee/tea maker, a table with chairs and a voucher for a Continental Breakfast at the nearby Dutch Mill Family Restaurant.

The Inn at Shelburne Farms—On the grounds of Shelburne Farms, the location of the clinic. The Inn is the 19th-century country estate of Dr. William Seward and Lila Vanderbilt Webb. It was opened as the Farm’s guest house in 1987, following the gift of the land and historic buildings at Shelburne Farms to the nonprofit that owns it today. The house still has most of its original furnishings and fixtures. The Inn features: 24 guest rooms in the main house, 4 guest cottages, a public farm to table restaurant, beautiful flower gardens, and all of Shelburne Farms to explore and enjoy. Heart of the Village Inn—5347 Shelburne Road, Shelburne; 802-985-9060. Adults-only, pet-free B&B, located in the heart of Shelburne, Vermont, offers a tasteful balance of Victorian ambiance with modern amenities, comfortable accommodations and custom-made breakfasts. Rooms: $200-$500.

Vermont Zen Center—480 Thomas Road, Shelburne; 802-985-9746. The Zen Center is a Buddhist temple. There are a limited number of rooms available for those who want to stay in a no frills, monastic-like environment. Location

The clinic will begin on Friday evening with a vegetarian meal at the Vermont Zen Center. On Saturday we will head to the historic Coach Barn at Shelburne Farms for the rest of the clinic.
